Good morning! My name is Zhao liuming. My English name is Tonny. I am ten years old. I’m from Hong Qi Primary school.

When I see my classroom is clean, I feel happy. When I see my home is beautiful, I feel comfortable. We all love blue sky, white clouds, warm wind, fresh air and clear river.

But where is the blue sky? Where are the white clouds? Where are the green hills? Where is the clean river?

They are all gone.

Why?

Because our mother earth is ill. Our mother earth is getting more and more unhealthy.

People cut down trees to make modern buildings, factories pour waste water into rivers and so on.

If we stop pollution, if we protect our mother earth today, it will be more beautiful tomorrow.

How I wish I could see blue sky, white clouds, green hills and clean water again.

Good afternoon dear teachers. My name is Sun Lanxin. I’m from Class 4 Grade 6. Today I’m very happy to have a speech here. My topic is “My dream—to be a singer”.

Some people want to be writers. Some want to be teachers. Some want to be doctors. My dream is to be a singer in the future. I hope my songs will spread all over the country。 I hope everyone will enjoy my songs.

I like singing. When I was 6, my mom took me to Ningbo Children’s Center to learn singing . Miss Xu, a very kind woman, taught me vocal. “1,2,3,4…” I deeply fell in love with singing. In the next few years, I also learned many singing skills from Mr Li and Miss Hu. I learned many beautiful songs like Zhuo Ma, Cinderella’s Dream, and so on.

Then I started to join all kinds of singing contest. I sang better and better. And I won a lot of honors. And also I performed in many places. I performed to all the students at school on Children’s Day. I performed on Cixi TV. I performed in the Great Hall of the People in Cixi. I’m proud I can sing beautiful songs.

Singing songs makes me happy, makes me feel confident. And also it makes my school life colourful. Some of my classmates admire me. Under my influence，they began to love songs and learn singing , too. Sometimes we sang and danced happily together.

I hope I can be a singer in the future. I will sing for the patients. To make them forget their pains. I will sing for the old . To make them not feel lonely. I will sing for the children, for the heroes, for the poor, for many many people. I hope my songs will make people feel happy. I hope I can be a famous singer like Song Zuying.

When I was seven， my mother sent me to an English school. At there， I played games and sang English songs with other children . On the weekend， I often go to the English corner. By talking with different people there， I have made more and more friends as well as improved my oral English. Of course， I want to go to London too， because England is where English language developed. If I can ride my bike in Cambridge university， I will be very happy. We live in the world every day. We eat food, drink water, wear clothes, watch TV, use computers and so on. We are producing waste every moment.

Generally speaking, there are four sorts of waste. They are material waste, organic waste, inorganic waste and poisonous & harmful waste. Now, we are going to talk about each sort of waste one by one.

Material waste: it means the waste of substance or things from which something else can be made. For example, people throw away the used metal products and buy a new one, so the old metal waste accumulates. At last, they become waste. For example, when people finish reading newspaper, the paper will become waste. When the glass is broken, it also becomes waste. Nobody wants to use a broken window or drink with a broken glass or wear a pair of broken glasses. Once it is broken, it becomes waste. The rate of using plastics is increasing day by day.

People use plastic bags because they are convenient. When they get home, they throw the plastics way, paying no attention to the environment. The more convenience plastics brings to us, the more plastic waste is produced. This is called “white pollution” as most plastics are white. Some of our products we use every day are made of rubber, just like the tyres and the bottom part of our shoes. It’s true that rubber plays an important role in our life. However, it also brings us some trouble when it has been used for a long time and becomes old. The old tyres become waste because it can’t break down by nature. This is really a big problem.
